Privacy

The short version: we use your details to give you a price and do the work, we don’t sell them to anybody, and you can ask us to delete them whenever you like.

This policy covers Supreme Wash Limited and this website. It is written to meet the Information Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

When you ask for a quote — by the form, by phone or by text — we collect your name, phone number and property address, plus your email address and anything you tell us about the job if you give them. If your enquiry came from one of our ads, we also record which ad it came from, so we know where our work comes from.

When you browse this site — see tracking and cookies below.

We don’t ask for a date of birth, and we never ask for bank or card details through this website.

What we use it for

Preparing your quote, contacting you about it, and carrying out the work if you go ahead. If you don’t go ahead, we may keep the enquiry so that we aren’t starting from scratch if you come back to us later — which people often do, a season or two on.

We also use enquiry counts, with no names attached, to work out which of our advertising is worth paying for.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell, rent or trade your details, and we don’t add you to a marketing list without asking.

Three kinds of sharing do happen, and all three are limited to what the job or the website needs:

  • The person doing your job. Your address and what you’ve asked for go to whoever is turning up.
  • The companies that run this website and our email. Our website host and email provider necessarily handle what passes through them. Some of them are overseas.
  • Meta and Google, for advertising measurement. Described in the next section. This is the only sharing that happens automatically, and you can switch it off.

Tracking and cookies on this website

This site is built to run with no third-party requests at all. Two advertising and measurement tags can be switched on, and when they are, this is what they do:

  • Google Analytics 4 records which pages are looked at, roughly where in the country the visit came from, what kind of device it was, and whether a quote form was sent. It sets cookies in your browser.
  • The Meta Pixel records the same kinds of page activity and reports back to Meta that a quote enquiry happened, so that Meta can tell us which advertisement produced it. It collects your IP address and a cookie identifier. Where an enquiry is confirmed, the same event may also be sent to Meta from our server as well as from your browser, with an identifier attached so the two are not counted twice. This is Meta’s Conversions API.

Both are used for measuring and targeting advertising, which includes showing you our ads again after you have been here — retargeting. We do not upload customer lists to build audiences.

Neither tag is given your name, your phone number, your email address or your street address. What is sent is that an enquiry happened, and which services were ticked.

How to stop it. You can turn off personalised advertising in your Google account settings and in your Meta ad preferences, opt out industry-wide at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com, block or delete cookies in your browser, or turn on your browser’s “do not track” or tracking-protection setting. None of that stops you using this site or getting a quote. Nothing on this page is behind a cookie wall.

New Zealand law does not require a cookie consent banner, so this site doesn’t put one in your way. From 1 May 2026 the Privacy Act requires a notice where personal information is collected indirectly rather than from you directly, which is what the tags above do. This section is that notice.

How long we keep it

Quote enquiries and job records are kept while they’re useful for servicing you and for the tax and business records we’re required to hold. Analytics and advertising data is kept for whatever period Meta and Google apply to it, which we don’t control. If you want your details gone sooner, ask us and we’ll delete them.

Seeing, correcting and deleting your information

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it’s wrong, and ask us to delete it. Ring 022 469 0767 or email quotes@supremewash.co.nz. We don’t charge for this and we’ll come back to you within 20 working days, which is what the Act allows.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Keeping it safe

This website is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the quote form is encrypted on its way to us. Access to enquiries is limited to the people who need it to quote and do the work. No system is perfect and we won’t pretend otherwise, but we don’t hold card details or anything else worth stealing.

If we’re required by New Zealand law, a court order or a lawful request from a government agency to hand over information, we will. We’ll tell you if that happens unless we’re not permitted to.

Children

This is a service for property owners. We don’t knowingly collect information from children, and we have no reason to.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the bottom. Where a change is significant and we hold your email address, we’ll tell you directly rather than leaving you to notice.
